Ngee Ann Polytechnic conducts outreach to thousands of prospective students through its Open House events each year. Each school within the polytechnic presents its programmes, academic pathways, and opportunities to help students make informed decisions.

Making academic information engaging without losing substance
Open House presentations needed to address both students and parents, who had very different priorities. Students sought excitement, clarity, and reliability, while parents often looked for reliability and reassurance.
The polytechnic’s challenge lay in how they could strategically present serious information in a way that felt dynamic, digestibe and relevant.

Refreshed Open House presentations for engagement and clarity
Through conversations with stakeholders from each school, we identified the key programmes and main appeal factors of the various courses of study offered by Ngee Ann. These insights were consolidated and synthesised to create a standardised, modular presentation structure that would showcase the uniqueness of each school while still remaining aligned to a central brand and theme.
Interactive Elements
We incorporated interactive elements like polls, prompts and an ‘Ask Me Anything’ segment to engage audiences and move away from passive information delivery that causes students to lose attention.
Student-Friendly Content
We refined the tone and language to resonate with a younger audience, simplifying key information without diluting it so the presentation was relatable without losing the credibility parents were looking for.
Cohesive, yet Distinct Visuals
We developed a unified design system that ensured consistency across all schools, while allowing each school to retain a unique identity. Each deck shared a common structural backbone and visual language, but incorporated distinct colours and motifs tailored to that individual school.
